MEET OUR DOCTORS

       Dr. Celia Stump was born and raised in Enterprise, Alabama where she graduated from Enterprise High School.  She went on to earn a degree from Samford University and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry in 1989. She then completed a one year fellowship in Huntsville, Ala., and has been practicing in Dothan since 1991. Dr. Stump became interested in dentistry after a childhood of experiencing the dental disorder known as ectodermal dysplasia. There are more than 150 different syndromes of ectodermal dysplasia, and 7,000 people worldwide have been diagnosed with one condition of the disorder. Ectodermal dysplasia is described as an inheritable condition in which there are abnormalities of ectodermal structures,namely missing teeth. Dr. Stump has found herself sitting in the dental chair since the age of two when the condition was detected, finding that she had missing permanent teeth.  It was her experience with this disorder that sparked Dr. Stump's interest in becoming a dentist and has led the practice to place a special emphasis on implants. Her unique condition has also attracted patients with the same disorder to Advanced Dental Care Of Dothan. She is married to Col. (Ret.) Sonny Moore who is the Pastor of First Baptist Church in Enterprise, Alabama.

      Dr. Scott Helms was born and raised in Dothan and graduated from Houston Academy.  He attended Auburn University and graduated from Birmingham Southern College . Dr. Helms graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 1992 and did his post doctoral fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Helms practiced dentistry in Birmingham, Ala., for two years before relocating to Dothan where he has been practicing for 16 years. He is married to Pem and they attend First Methodist Church in Dothan.
